TECES Awarded with »Cluster Management Excellence Label BRONZE – Striving for Cluster Excellence«

TECES is with its networks acting as a cluster of organizations and has based on a benchmarking analysis been awarded with a bronze designation for excellence in the quality of leadership and management of the cluster - "Cluster Management Excellence Label BRONZE – Striving for Cluster Excellence«.

We participated in the "benchmarking" analysis, comparing Slovenian clusters with similar clusters in the EU. Based on a comparative analysis has the management of TECES obtained an overview of their own strengths, weaknesses and opportunities in particular for further development towards excellence and business service development for its networks.

Comparative analysis was on 04.12.2014 followed by an in-depth workshop with Slovenian clusters, facilitated by Thomas Laemmer-Gamp, Director of ESCA (www.cluster-analysis.org). Focused workshop led to the common conclusion that the existing business models of clusters need to be restructured.

From the current "hunting for projects" it is necessary to create a sustainable star shaped umbrella strategy. This is the model that is focusing on long-term continuous collaboration of members with a shared common vision supported by cluster services.

As part of a comparative analysis carried out by the VDI / VDE, Germany, the bronze Cluster Management Excellence Label for excellence in management was dedicated to 5 Slovenian clusters that exhibit the ability for cross-sectoral and international cooperation in order to promote the innovation potential of their networks:

TECES highlights cooperation with project partners Poly4Emi as an excellent example of good practice. This is indicating the ability and desire of actors to surpass regional and national frameworks in order to create sustainable programs encouraging countries innovation potential.
