TECES content focus within the certified Operational Programme Slovenia-Austria

The Cross-border Cooperation Programme INTERREG Austria-Slovenia has been approved by the European Commission on 16 September 2015 for the period 2014-2020. The Slovenian and Austrian organizations have the possibility to apply to
57.2 million € total funds in the period 2015-2020. The co-financing rate of project activities is
85% - irrespective of the type of partner. It is expected that the first tender deadlines should be published in mid-December 2015.
TECES has for its members and the interesed public reviewed the Operational Programme SI-AT in order to create common synergies and relevant project proposals. The
document TECES SI-AT Programme Focus can be found at the link and below.
SI-AT Important new features:
- Project proposals will be submitted throughout the year
- The decision on the selection of projects will be 2x per year until all available means are exhausted!
- Electronic submission of an application and documentation for the reporting of all partners.
- Replacement ISARR system to another, based on URBACT electronic monitoring system (e-MS)
- They promise shorter times for reporting and payment of claims.
The TECES content focus within the SI-AT program:
- Priority 1: Research and innovation, promoting business investment in research and development as well as the links and synergies between enterprises, R & D centers and higher education.
- Priority 3: Fostering capacity and efficient public administration Note: here the topic of energy has been partially included. Priority encourages the joint planning, project steps for the preparation and demonstration projects of local governments (AT), municipalities, non-profit organizations and development centers and energy agencies in the field of renewable energy and energy efficiency.
Can companies as profit organizations also be involved?
Yes, the participation of companies as project partners is desirable. TECES is advising to its members, innovative companies and research organizations to seize the SI–AT programme for:
- Analysis of the business environment and internationalization
- To impact on local communities, municipalities, ministries and agencies
- To establish the boundary conditions for a joint demonstration projects
- To check the standards of existing technologies and products
- To improve their own capacities - forming educational programs, mobility, improved contact with RO
- For the activities in priority fields harmonized in smart specialization strategies Slovenia (S4)
