The initiative of TECES and partners for Smart Specialization Strategy of Slovenia presented at the Investment Conference

The initiative of TECES and partners with the title
"The System-efficient conversion / energy consumption (SURE), and energy-efficient systems" was presented at the Investment Conference for Smart Specialization Strategy (SSS) of the Republic of Slovenia (RS). The event was organized by the Slovenian Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy (SGODECP) and took place between 15
th and 16
th of June 2015 in Ljubljana. The event was intended for the presentation of initiatives of the SSS, selected for presentation, based on open call of SGODECP for the definition of promising technology areas and product direction of the Slovenian SSS.
The TECES and partners presented the initiative "System efficiency and conversion of energy and energy-efficient systems”, which is one of the largest initiatives of the SSS in Slovenia, as it deals comprehensively with the energy efficiency in the production, transmission and distribution of energy, its management and the use on four key application areas; electrification of vehicles and electric mobility, energy efficiency (electrical) energy in buildings and homes, sustainable energy management and energy resources and smart industrial mechatronic systems.
The initiative is also one of the major initiatives presented, due the size of the partnership, it involves 59 partners, including some of the most important Slovenian export-oriented companies (45 companies with 14,300 employees, with total sales revenues of € 2.3 billion and export range of 1.6 billion €) together with 35 research groups from 13 research organizations.
All transmitted initiatives represent a base line for the preparation of the document for Smart Specialization of Republic Slovenia, which is intended to serve as the basis for the further development and implementation of strategic development and policy measures in Slovenia. TECES will continue to provide information to partners and the public about the following next steps in the future.
